Exciting news for active military and veterans suffering from depression!

Blackburn said that TRICARE recently announced to its members that TMS Therapy is now covered in their policy, making it available as a treatment for medication resistant patients suffering from Major Depressive Disorder (MDD). Blackburn also noted that while TMS is currently only indicated for depression, it can also be effective in treating the PTSD and anxiety veterans face when they return from active duty.

TMS Therapy Now Covered By Aetna Insurance

TMS Therapy is finally experiencing the insurance coverage recognition it deserves!

 

After formal FDA approval in 2008, celebrating the Neuronetics TMS System completion of its One Millionth TMS treatment, thousands of success stories, and mounting research evidence detailing the multitude of TMS therapy benefits—insurance companies are slowly, but surely, coming on board, too. TMS Therapy News—Aetna Sued For Denying TMS Therapy

In a recent article in The Connecticut Law Tribune on September 21, 2015, writer Michelle Tuccitto Sullo posted a blog titled  “Connecticut Insurer Sued for Not Covering 'Magnetic' Depression Treatment”.

In the article Michelle Tuccitto Sullo brings to light the recent case of a Tennessee man suffering from depression, “who has filed a federal lawsuit against the Aetna insurance company, alleging that the Hartford-based insurer refuses to cover a magnetic therapy treatment for his condition."
