Wellness Tips: Workplace Wellness

Workplace Wellness:

As we enter into the fall season and our lives get busier and busier with events, birthday??, family gatherings, social events and the holiday?? right around the corner. It is no surprise making sure there is a balance to work and life can make all the difference in mental wellness.

Poor work-life balance increases your risk for health conditions like sleep problems, digestive disorders, and mental health problems. This is especially true to mental health workers and caregivers.

Consider these four tips for staying healthy at work!

  1. Drink an adequate amount of water ??Eight to ten glasses a day! If you don?? like drinking water try foods that are good sources of water; fruits like oranges, grapefruit, grapes, watermelon, and apples!
  2. Exercise!!! If you do not have a normal exercise routine, make it a point to take a small walk around the office or outside during your lunch break! This is a good way to de-stress and feel more refreshed
  3. Plan ahead and pack a lunch instead of going out! Eat a healthy lunch at work, but also practice portion control so you aren?? consuming too many calories then sitting in a chair all afternoon!
  4. Sanitize, sanitize, sanitize! Beat cold and flu season by disinfecting and sanitizing your work space.

And just in case you need a reminder: You matter, you are good enough, you are worthy!
