While charting an innovative business development path with Dr. Sammons, Chris' path quickly turned into a super highway of advocacy for their TMS patients.
Chris graduated from Gonzaga University where he was a NCAA Division I athlete and was in the US Men's Soccer National Team pool from 1988-1991. Both while at Gonzaga, and following graduation, he worked for the US Government, eventually becoming a front-line, intelligence source during the Balkan wars, for which he received several commendations and International accolades. Chris is currently participating in the Wharton Entrepreneur program.
Chris' mission in life is public awareness about depression and getting relief for depression sufferers. He is a fierce patient advocate, championing for TMS treatment coverage with insurance companies. The driving force behind his work is seeing patients' lives transformed in front of his eyes, despite years and even decades of suffering with depression. He is diligently working to offer TMS Therapy to as many forward thinking doctors and clinics as possible.
His greatest accomplishments and loves are his kids.
Tim Denniston attended Gonzaga University from 1989 -1993. He was a scholarship athlete and four-year starter on the men’s soccer team. While working toward his degree, Tim worked as an undergraduate research assistant, studying the effects of extra-cellular conditions on cytoplasmic streaming in amoeba proteus. He graduated as a member of the Honor’s Program, cum laude, with a BS in Biology and a minor in Psychology.
Following graduation, Tim moved to Salt Lake City, UT where he accepted a job at the University of Utah’s Biology Department. There he worked on a cancer research project, studying a vacuole inheritance gene defect in the yeast strain saccharomyces cerevisiae.
Life changes took him back to Spokane in 1995 and in a new career direction. He worked in the hospitality industry, managing several local establishments, including the iconic Steam Plant, where he served as the General Manager for over a decade.
A desire for a new, more meaningful career, led Tim to TMS Solutions.
Dr. Robert Sammons received his Ph.D. from University of North Carolina at Greensboro, his M.D. from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and was trained in TMS at the Harvard School of Medicine. Both he and his business partner Christopher Blackburn are certified in TMS treatment using Neurostar technology. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Clinical TMS Society.
Dr. Sammons has been added as an adjunct research professor at Colorado Mesa University to develop and publish research and clinical trial information using TMS and Neurostar technology. He is hopeful that TMS will be approved for treating other conditions. Among off-label treatments that hold promise are Tinnitus, Postpartum Depression, and PTSD, for which he is especially interested with regard to veterans and the VA system.
In 2014, Dr. Sammons and Christopher Blackburn co-founded TMS Solutions with the goal of expanding the availability of transcranial magnetic stimulation for the treatment of depression. They are actively seeking strategic partnerships with like-minded doctors and clinics to work with them in this life-changing process.
Douglas joined TMS Solutions, Inc. in 2022. He received his MBA in Finance, Summa Cum Laude from Nova Southeastern University, his B.A. in Accounting & Finance from University of Washington.
With over 25 years experience in accounting, finance, and operations, Douglas spent 15 of those years as Chief Financial Officer for private and public companies. He was also a partner with Moss Adams, an accounting, consulting, and wealth management company, and served as the Director of Business Performance for Microsoft.
