Dr. David Greeley M.D., FAAN
Northwest Regional Medical Director
Dr. Greeley is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and works as a general neurologist at Northwest Neurological as well as serving as the regional medical director for TMS Solutions — Spokane. He is also very active in research and development of new technologies as well as implementation of those products and procedures as they become FDA-approved — he was the first neurologist to use Botox in the state of Washington, the first (along with neurosurgeon Dr Jeff Hirschauer) to do DBS in the state of Washington and now the first neurologist to bring TMS to Spokane.
His research and care of patients with Neurodegenerative diseases, TBI, Concussion and Depression is one of the reasons Dr. Greeley is the only Qualified MAF/BAP Physician in the Northwestern United States for the NFL Concussion Settlement Program.
He remains one of the most active injectors of botulinum toxin (Botox®, Xeomin®, Myobloc®) in the Northwest helping patients with migraine, dystonia, dysphonia, cosmetic wrinkles, hyperhidrosis (sweating), drooling, spasticity and muscle pain.
Dr. Greeley has been the principal investigator in over 60 clinical research studies primarily focusing today on Alzheimer’s disease treatment and prevention. He also serves as the medical director for Kindred Healthcare as well as the Regenerative Medicine Institute.
Dr. Greeley was born and raised in Seattle, Washington, and graduated from the University of Washington in 1985 with a bachelor's degree in music theory and history. He then went to the University of Washington School of Medicine, graduating in 1989.
After medical school he spent the next four years completing his internship and residency in Neurology at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinic system in Madison, Wisconsin. He then completed a post-residency position as Honorary Assistant House Physician at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in London, England.
Directly after training Dr. Greeley moved to Spokane, Washington, to join a multi-specialty clinic where he worked as a neurologist and as the first director of their clinical research department. He moved into private practice in Spokane in 1999 when he opened Northwest Neurological, PLLC.
Dr. Greeley is a Fellow in the American Academy of Neurology (FAAN) and is also involved in education, training and admissions of medical students as a Clinical Associate Professor in Neurology at the University of Washington School of Medicine.
He is most proud of his three daughters, Madeline, Perri and Isabel, and his beautiful wife Suzanne.
